LETAS Victory for Kristalle Blum

Australia's Kristalle Blum just earned the biggest win of her young pro career to date, taking the trophy at the Golf Vlaanderen LETAS Trophy, part of the LET Access Series tour. LETAS is the primary feeder tour into the Ladies European Tour. The tournament concluded on June 25, 2022.

Blum, 24 years old, entered the final round with a one-stroke lead. And when the final round ended, she had a one-stroke victory. "I was very nervous the last few holes and just tried to focus on my breathing," she said afterward. "I had no idea where I sat on the leaderboard, so I just had to keep doing my thing and I’m glad it was enough."

Blum should make a nice jump in the Rolex Rankings, the women's world golf rankings, at the next update. She went into the Golf Vlaanderen LETAS Trophy, which took place in Belgium, at No. 630 in the world rankings. But that ranking is far more impressive when you consider that at the end of 2021, Blum was at No. 1,339. Even before the win, she had already moved up 739 spots.

How did she do it? She's had a terrific 2022 overall. In the early part of the year, playing on the WPGA (what used to be called the ALPG Tour) in Australia, Blum posted three Top 10s, including in the Australian WPGA Championship. And since then, she had three more Top 10s on the LETAS. Followed by the victory.
