Maiden Victory for Klara Spilkova on the LET

Klara Spilkova won the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco on Sunday, claiming her first title on the Ladies European Tour.

Klara did it with a bogey-free final round of 66, that included six birdies - the last two on the 13th and 14th holes. She parred out from there, including sinking a testy par putt on the final hole.

Suzann Pettersen had a chance to catch Spilkova and force a playoff by birdying the last hole, but didn't. Pettersen finished in second place, one stroke behind Spilkova's winning total of 280 (8-under par).

Spilkova is 22 years old and from the Czech Republic. As you can probably tell from the photos, she also does some modeling.

Prior to the Lalla Meryem Cup, Klara had 92 career starts on the LET. She turned pro in 2010, when she was only 17 years old.

In her 92 prior starts on the LET, Klara had 11 career Top 10 finishes, and her 66 in the final round in Morocco matches her career low on the LET.

Hyunju Yoo (Hyeonjoo Ryu): Newest Glamour Girl of the KLPGA

First, let's clear up why we've listed two names for this golfer in the headline. When she first came on the scene, she (and everyone else) spelled her name "Hyeonjoo Ryu." But recently on social media, she started spelling it "Hyunju Yoo." And we figure she knows better than anyone how to translate the Korean spelling of her name into an English spelling.

LPGA Golfers Enjoy the Bahamas Beachside and Poolside

Social media gives us a glimpse into the lives of professional golfers the likes of which we could never have gotten a mere 10 years ago. One word tells you all you need to know: "selfie." And when LPGA players visit a tournament site such as, say the Bahamas, selfies sometimes involve bikinis and other swimsuits. The LPGA Tour plays this week at the Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic. They are staying at the Atlantis Resort, which has a bevy of pools and other water features for them to enjoy; and are also right on the beach. Make that "beaches," since the resort is surrounded by sand and ocean, too. Below are a few of the swimsuit selfies LPGA golfers have shared on their social media accounts this week.
