Shin Ae Ahn Now a Maxim Cover Girl

Shin Ae Ahn is one of the stars of the Korean LPGA, and now she's a Maxim magazine cover girl. Ahn appears on the cover of the September 2016 issue of Maxim 's Korea edition - an edition that is touted as the "golf issue": Actually, Shin Ae appears on two Maxim covers, because they also issued the magazine with an alternative cover: Ahn is definitely one of the glamour girls of Korean golf, known for her beauty and the bright, colorful (and often sexy) golf outfits she wears on tour. Maxim, in its index, calls her a "golf goddess." Who are we to argue? But don't get the idea Ahn is only famous for her looks. This woman can play. She was the KLPGA's Rookie of the Year in 2009 and a 2-time champion in the 2010 season. She had some lean years after that, in part due to injuries, but rebounded strongly last year by winning one of the biggest events in women's golf in Asia, the 2015 KLPGA Championship. If you can read Korean, you might

Maria Verchenova Sets Olympic Scoring Record

What do you do when you establish a new scoring record in golf? Well, one thing you can do is celebrate with a cake: Ребята, спасибо огромное за приятный сюрприз! Я просто счастлива, что у меня есть вы...... И всем, кто за меня болел! Я вчера постаралась ответить всем, кто написал.... Для меня это очень важно❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 🌻 A photo posted by Maria Verchenova (@mariaverchenova) on Aug 21, 2016 at 3:00am PDT The 2016 Olympic women's golf tournament is over, and Maria Verchenova of Russia didn't come close to winning. But she did become the first golf in Olympic history to post a score of 62. Maria saved the best for last: Her 9-under 62 happened in the final round. Verchenova started that final round tied for 41st place, but a 62 tends to move a player up the scoreboard. And Maria finished the tournament tied for 16th place with a final score of 4-under par 280. Her 62 consisted of a 30 on the front nine and a 32 on the back nine. Verchenova had two bo

It's #RR2016 With Michelle, Alison, Jessica and Austin

You know who needs a little R&R? Michelle Wie, Alison Lee, Jessica Korda and Austin Ernst. And that's just what these friends are getting in South Carolina. And they hashtagged it #RR2016 as they share photos on their respective social media accounts. First, the background photo: This group of Austin's LPGA friends gathered in Tennessee for her charity tournament at The Cliffs. Once the golf ended, the real fun began, and much of it took place on Lake Keowee. One of the first shares tagged #RR2016 was this one, from Korda: Jumping into #RR2016 like 😎 A video posted by Jessica Korda (@thejessicakorda) on Aug 9, 2016 at 5:41pm PDT Front and back frolicking: Such posers! No butts about it: #RR2016 #playindirtynotclean follow on 👻 @alisonnlee A video posted by Alison Lee (@thealisonlee) on Aug 9, 2016 at 5:42pm PDT But girls will be girls (Wie captioned this one, "Slumber party braids"): And here is the quartet:

Paula Creamer Celebrates 30th in Las Vegas

We here at Golf Babes are just old enough that Paula Creamer turning 30 makes us feel just a little ... old. We remember the chubby-cheeked 17-year-old Creamer when she first started showing up in LPGA tournaments as a hotshot amateur. Now she's in her 12th season on the LPGA, she's a U.S. Women's Open winner, and she just celebrated the big 3-0 with some of her best friends in a Las Vegas excursion. And - thanks, PC! - she and her friends shared photos of the partying. That included using their own hashtag - #downanddirtyforPCs30. Some might hashtag these first couple pics #squadgoals: Here are a couple of Paula with buddy Morgan Pressel: This is Paula with Sydnee Michaels: And here's Paula with Kelly Thesier of LPGA headquarters: And finally, we have cake and cupcakes: And the action continues the next day:

PGA Champion Jimmy Walker's Heavenly Wife Erin

Erin Walker is - dare I say it? - dy-no-mite. Erin Walker's husband is Jimmy Walker, recent winner of the 2016 PGA Championship. Jimmy had a fine PGA Tour career even before winning the PGA, with multiple victories, plus appearances in the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup. But Jimmy might have been best known, prior to winning a major, as the pro golfer who moonlighted as a deep-space photographer. Jimmy's interest in the heavens is well-chronicled, and his images taken through large telescopes of galaxies, nebulae and other interstellar beauties have gained wide notice among space geeks. But perhaps Jimmy's interest in heavenly bodies is only a natural extension of his interest in the heavenly Erin Walker. (Stretching the metaphor too much?) Embed from Getty Images Erin and the Walkers' two young children were there in New Jersey at Baltusrol for Jimmy's winning moment at the 2016 PGA, and, yes, everyone noticed how hot Erin is.
