It was her best showing of the season, but she was a key contributor to the team throughout the year. This edition of "Instagramming with ..." is a bit misnamed, because Jasmine Finlay keeps her Instagram page private. However, Finlay often shares photos on both Twitter and Facebook , too. Who is Jasmine Finlay? She was one of the top amateur golfers in Australia a few years back, but today she is an entrepreneur who runs a golf events company called Golfer Girl. A while back I was looking at some of Lydia Ko's earliest appearances on the ALPG Tour, and kept running across Jasmine's name in the results. She was playing as an amateur, but posting some good finishes. In Ko's first-ever ALPG win, Jasmine finished (I believe I'm remembering this correctly) 13th, for example. Finlay is CEO of Golfer Girl, which she started in Australia. Back in 2009 Anna Rawson became a "GoDaddy girl." Who is the man behind GoDaddy.com? Bob Parsons. Today it was announced that Rawson will be a spokesperson, and one of the public faces, of a new equipment company called Parsons Xtreme Golf. Who is the man behind PXG? Bob Parsons. "Rawson’s sultry, yet playful personality, paired with her precise golf swing and extensive knowledge of the sport make her an ideal partner," the company's press release says. Can't argue with that. PXG clubs have been on tour since earlier this year (Ryan Moore and Rocco Mediate play them, for example), but are just now becoming available to consumers. Anna's role will involve representing PXG in the marketing campaign to consumers. And Parsons himself promises that "our marketing is going to make some noise and shake-up the industry, too." Maddie Sheils started Sunday, June 7, 2015, with four career Top 10 finishes on the Symetra Tour since turning pro in 2013. She ended the day with five career Top 10s - and her first victory. Sheils carded three rounds in the 60s, including a closing 68, to win by two shots at the Symetra Tour's FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship. That score included birdies on two of the final four holes. Her best finish this season prior to the win was a 5th-place showing in early May at the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Women’s Health Classic. Today's win wasn't her first as a pro, though: In her rookie year of 2013, Maddie won on the Cactus Tour. Sheils graduated from the University of Nebraska after majoring in philosophy and minoring in business. She was a 4-time National Golf Coaches' Association Scholastic All-American while there, and made first-team all-conference in 2012. And her 63 today is not only Woods' best score of the season by four shots, it's only the second time she's been below 70 thus far on the LPGA Tour in 2015. She got off to a solid start, making her first four cuts. But Cheyenne has struggled lately. Hopefully this 63 is a sign she's on the way to some higher finishes from this point on.
