Big Break Mexico: Taylor Collins

Photo Credit: Mark Ashman/Golf Channel Big Break Mexico begins airing on the Golf Channel on May 13, and this look at Taylor Collins concludes our series of posts about the six women are who included in the show's cast. Collins was a member of three Division II national championship teams at Nova Southeastern University, and won five tournaments individually while she was there. That includes Taylor's turn as the individual winner of the 2011 NCAA Division II National Championship. Taylor, 23 years old, currently plays on the Symetra Tour, which is also where she played full-time in 2012. Last season, Collins' best finish was a tie for fourth place at the Riviera Nayarit Classic. The only golf instructor Collins has ever had is the legendary Bob Toski. Big Break Mexico: Stefanie Kenoyer

Stefanie, now 24 years old, played college golf at Furman University. She had 15 Top 10 finishes there, and her victories included wins at the Southern Conference women's championship tournament in 2008 and 2009. She was named the conference's Player of the Year in 2009 and 2010. She played on the Symetra Tour in 2012 with a top finish of 17th, and is playing the Symetra in 2013. Kenoyer has the distinction of being the only member of the Big Break Mexico cast with major championship experience: She qualified for the U.S. Women's Open as an amateur in 2009. Here is more about her in the Golf Channel video bio:

Florida Southern won the D2 national championship in 2007, one year after Bergeon was the individual runner-up at the 2006 national championship. Big Break Mexico: Liebelei Lawrence

Photo Credit: Mark Ashman/Golf Channel Liebelei Lawrence is one of the contestants on Big Break Mexico, which debuts May 13 on Golf Channel. She's also a golfer who has had fully exempt status on a major world tour; in Liebelei's case, the Ladies European Tour. In 2011, she played 15 LET tournaments with four Top 30 finishes, but had to go back to Q-School. She regained her card for 2012 and had two Top 30 finishes. In 2013, she has partial status on the LET and so far has gotten into two tournaments. Liebelei is a child of the world: She has citizenship in three countries. Born in Greece to a Greek mother and American father, she spent most of her childhood in Luxembourg. So she has citizenship with Greece, the USA and Luxembourg. She also speaks five languages (and, as she notes in the biographical video below, is working on No. 6.) As a teen she attended the Leadbetter Academy in Florida, then played collegiately at Vanderbilt.

Big Break Mexico: Emily Talley

Photo Credit: Mark Ashman/Golf Channel The start of Big Break Mexico is just around the corner, so we start a series on the female contestants who are on that show. The series, which debuts May 13, 2013, has a cast of 12 golfers, evenly split between men and women.  One of those women is 22-year-old Emily Talley. Talley is originally from California, she now lives in Colorado after spending her college years at the University of Colorado. In fact, she was the school's Athlete of the Year in 2012, and that same year was awarded the university's Career Athletic Achievement Award. In 2012, Talley also won the California Women's Amateur. She's playing on the Symetra Tour this year, and in two starts so far has a best finish of 12th. Here is her video bio from the Golf Channel:

Monica Christiansen

Monica Christiansen is a Danish golfer who was a contestant on Denmark's version of Dancing With the Stars . I don't speak the language, so I can't explain why the show's publicity department had Monica posing inside a cage. But I can tell you she didn't win. But Christiansen did win on the LET Access Series, claiming the trophy at the Dinard Ladies Open in France. She won despite suffering from flu-like symptoms, and she was the only golfer in the field to finish below par. I bet she's kicking her heels up more because of this victory than she did in her dance routines.
