On the Road with Perry Swenson

Gah! Who let Charlie Rymer onto Golf Babes? Hey, sometimes you have to take the bad with the good. And the good in this case is the very good Perry Swenson. Swenson, along with (left to right) Rymer, Josh Kelley and Mark Bryan, is part of the cast of the Golf Channel series, " Road Trip: Myrtle Beach ." The show airs Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. (ET). The first four shows are complete, and eight more will be filmed in April. Perry got onto the series through an audition for "The Big Break." After meeting Perry, Golf Channel producers felt she'd be a perfect fit for "Road Trip" because of her musical background (castmates Kelley and Bryan are rock musicians). "I have been singing and playing the piano ever since I was little," Perry told me, adding that she's even performed at a few pro-am parties during Futures Tour tournament weeks. The "Road Trip" quartet will play as a foursome this year in the Hootie and the Blowfish Monday After t

Paula Creamer Wins Fields Open

Paula Creamer showing fine form in the final round of the Fields Open. Fine form indeed: Paula won the tournament by a stroke over Jeong Jang by birdying four of the final five holes. That's the way to close. Even if she did beat JJ in so doing (JJ being the cutest thing on the planet). Here's a gallery of Paula pics from the Fields.

Kristina Tucker

(Photo courtesy of Neil Boyd Photography) Kristina Tucker of "Big Break V," looking very elegant. Kristina had non-exempt status on the LPGA in 2007. She made 8 of 10 cuts on the Futures Tour last year, with a best finish of second. Perhaps 2008 is the year that Kristina breaks through for that first Futures Tour victory.

Momoko Ueda

Momoko Ueda was one of the young LPGA pros in the hunt throughout the final round of the 2008 SBS Open, before Annika Sorenstam put it away with late birdies. Momoko is Japanese, and she's won quite a bit in a short span of time on the Japan LPGA. In 2007, she won the LPGA Mizuno Classic in Japan and earned exempt status for 2008 on the LPGA Tour. She's definitely a young player to keep an eye on. The two photos below are from Momoko's great blog . I say it's great even though I can't read it (it's in Japanese, of course). But she posts lots of great personal photos of herself, including these of her enjoying a meal, and enjoying a nap.

Erica Blasberg

The first LPGA tournament of the season is behind us now, and at the SBS Open Erica Blasberg had the best finish of her LPGA career to date, a tie for eighth place. Erica has non-exempt status in 2008 after finishing 104th on the money list last year. Her first career Top 10 will certainly boost her pocketbook and help her regain fully exempt status, but it should also be a boost to her confidence and help her on her way to her best season yet.

Tina Miller

Some of you may be thinking, "hey, didn't Golf Babes just run a pic of Tina a couple weeks ago?" Yes, we did, on the occasion of her birthday. But two points: 1. You can never have too much Tina. 2. Something much more momentous just happened in her life. Tina got engaged. Sorry fellas! Who's the lucky guy? He's Rhys Lloyd. NFL fans will recognize that name. Rhys is a place-kicker who was with the Baltimore Ravens in 2007 and has signed with the Carolina Panthers for 2008. Congratulations to Tina and Rhys, and here's wishing them a lifetime of happiness. More Tina news: Check out this preview clip of "Big Break: Kaanapali" on the Golf Channel Web site.

Anna Rawson

Here's a video clip detailing Anna Rawson's life and career. It was originally posted on her Web site,, but now can be found on YouTube. It's a couple years ago, shot at a time when Anna was on the Futures Tour, but still very informative.

Keri Murphy

You won't be surprised to learn that Keri Murphy has long been involved in the entertainment and modeling businesses: Of course, golfers know the lovely and charming Keri best from her work as the video host at GolfNow , and you can find tons of great videos of Keri there and on YouTube (her blooper clips are especially popular). Among her other endeavors, Keri works with the Oregon chapter of Dress For Success , a charitable organization "committed to helping low-income women take charge of their lives." The Dress For Success Oregon Web site is under construction here .

Lisa Ann Horst

Would you be more likely to take golf lessons if more instructors looked like Lisa Ann Horst instead of like Butch Harmon? Lisa Ann is a teaching pro, an LPGA Class A Professional. She teaches out of Groff's Farm Golf Club and Leisure Lanes Golf Center in Lancaster, Pa., and has authored an instructional book entitled " Golf Training: The Secrets To Effective Practice and a Lower Score ". Lisa Ann has written for and been featured in various publications, including Golf Illustrated , and also does some sports modeling. Visit her Web site - - for more info, including golf tips.

Sealing the Deal

We'll be your trained seal, Morgan. (OK, it's a sea lion , not a seal. So sue me.) I think Morgan looks cuter in her seal pic than Natalie did in hers .

Elin Nordegren Woods

Elin Nordegren Woods - a k a Mrs. Tiger Woods - was recently ranked No. 42 on's " Top 99 Most Desirable Women of 2008 " list. No. 42 with AskMen, No. 1 with Tiger.
