Kirsty Gallacher is the daughter of Bernard Gallacher, who played on the Great Britain & Ireland/Europe Ryder Cup teams many times, then later served as captain multiple times. Kirsty was an amateur golfer of some note before she embarked on a career in television and modeling.

Congratulations to Anna Rawson on her second-place finish at the LPGA Qualifying School sectional tournament in Palm Springs, Calif. That was one of two sectionals, and the top 30 finishers in each advance to the Final Stage of LPGA qualifying, which takes place in late November, early December. Anna finished tied for second at 1-under 287.

Our friend Blair O'Neal is always trying new things. Such as playing football. The photograph above shows her "in uniform" after winning a place on the Phoenix Scorch. Who are the Phoenix Scorch? They are one of the teams that will take part in the Lingerie Bowl early next year, with a game the night before the Super Bowl and another appearance to coincide with halftime of the Super Bowl.

Kiran Matharu is a 19-year-old Brit in her rookie season on the Ladies European Tour. Kiran finished tied for second in the Nykredit Masters in Denmark yesterday. Elisa Serramia is a Spaniard who plays on the Ladies European Tour. The best finish so far in her young professional career is a third at the 2006 BMW Ladies Italian Open. She won the British Ladies Amateur Championship in 2003. Check out her Web site or her LET profile .
