"Top Shots" Screensaver Ready

The golf Web site www.bunkershot.com has made available a screensaver of shots from the "Top Shots" calendar featuring women from the Australian Ladies Professional Golf Tour (such as Sarah Kemp, above).

Jeanne Cho

This is Jeanne Cho - actually, Jeanne Cho-Hunicke since her recent marriage - who is best-known as a member of the "Big Break V" cast (as you can obviously tell from the photo). That's the cast that was required to shoot a swimsuit calendar (thanks, Golf Channel!).

Cho-Hunicke lost the championship match of that "Big Break" season to Ashley Prange. But she beat Ashley where it counts: in LPGA Tour Final Stage Qualifying. Cho finished 17th, just outside the group of fully exempt players, but high enough that she should have no trouble getting in a full schedule of tournaments in 2007.

Blair O'Neal

This is Blair O'Neal, who played college golf at Arizona State University and has gone on to play professionally on the Futures Tour and elsewhere. She's also gone on to quite a successful modeling career, where she goes by her first and middle names, Blair Alana.

In fact, her modeling career has likely eclipsed her golf career - on her myspace profile, she lists "model" ahead of "professional golfer" in the "Career" category.

But looking at her Futures Tour bio, her numbers show plenty of on-course potential. In 2005, she made 5 of 9 cuts with scoring average of 74.78; in 2006 she made 4 of 6 cuts with a scoring average of 74.81. Those are actually pretty good numbers for the Futures Tour - much better than you see for many other part-time players. Makes me think if she played full-time and committed fully to golf, she'd have a good shot at improving those numbers.

But, given the money available on the Futures Tour and other developmental, regional and overseas tours in women's golf, it's a good bet she's making more money modeling. She's done print work, runway modeling and even a little acting. And she's been featured twice in the Golf Digest Japan calendar.

Stacy Prammanasudh

Who can turn the world on with her smile?

I've always thought Stacy Prammanasudh - a k a Stacy P - is darn cute. At right is her new mugshot on LPGA.com. She's kind of got a Mary Tyler Moore thing happening, yes?

Her "Quick 18" interview, includes this inexplicable nugget:

15. What is the craziest thing a fan has requested of you?
Haven't had any crazy request yet, but I have been called “Michelle Wie”.

Kristie Newton

Kristie Newton is the 27-year-old daughter of Australian golfer Jack Newton, and a very accomplished golfer herself. She plays on the Australian Ladies Professional Golf Tour, and models on the side. Or maybe she models and plays golf on the side. Either way, we wish her much success at both.

Kristie, you might recall, was the "cover girl" on the Top Shots calendar we featured late last year. The photo above comes from the Australian "sports & lifestyle" magazine for men, Alpha, and its ranking of the 50 hottest athletes.

Brittany Lincicome

Equipment deals aren't usually very lucrative for LPGA Tour golfers, compared to those deals inked by their PGA Tour brothers.

So it's nice to see Adams Golf sending out press releases touting its signing of Brittany Lincicome to a deal. Brittany led the LPGA Tour in driving distance in 2006, and now she'll be bombing those drives with an Adams driver.

She'll be playing Adams clubs, wearing the Adams logo and carrying an Adams staff back in 2007.

Anna Rawson

"Boys don't make passes at girls who wear glasses." Where does that come from? "Happy Days"?

I guess Richie Cunningham never saw Anna Rawson in a pair of specs. I imagine her as a librarian. My book is overdue, and Anna has to administer the fine .... um ... ahem ... but I digress.
