Alexandra O'Laughlin: The Next Golf Channel Star

Who is Alexandra O'Laughlin? She's the next star at the Golf Channel.

Golf's 24-hour network has a knack for discovering young, talented female announcers, who often start out primarily doing web features or running the social media desk for the network. Bailey (Mosier) Chamblee, for example, got her start that way. But the presenter's talent — and growing popularity — eventually lead to a bigger role.

And that's what we should expect with Alexandra.

O'Laughlin joined Golf Channel earlier in 2017 in the role of "social media host." What does that mean? It means "contributing to the network's social media platforms at tournaments and events throughout the golf calendar," the Golf Channel explains.

From Alexandra's GolfChannel.com bio:

"A two-time Academic All-American and captain of the Lewis University women’s golf team in Chicago, O’Laughlin took up the game in eighth grade and worked with Golf Channel Academy coach Trent Wearner in high school, ultimately leading to her scholarship at Lewis University. She graduated with a communications degree, was a three-time Academic All-Conference and worked at CBS News Radio as an assistant producer before joining Golf Channel."

But before she was a broadcaster or a college golfer, Alexandra was a model, both in print and on the runway. She's still a model today, represented by a big-time agency, and she's been seen in campaigns that have appeared, for example, in GQ magazine and on Times Square billboards.
