Seema Says Goodbye - and Hello, Kitty

seema sadekar

And so the time has come to say goodbye to Seema Sadekar as a contestant on Big Break Sandals Resorts. Alas, Seema was eliminated in the seventh episode. In her blog on, Seema wrote, "To everyone who enjoyed watching me, this won't be the last time you will see me sparkle and shine! ... I have to say, this show may be someone else's 'big break,' but mine will measure greater. Thank you to the Golf Channel and I love you all. Stay sparkly!"

Stay sparkly. That's always sound advice.

And something that helps Seema stay sparkly is her love of animals. She has become a spokesperson for the Las Vegas Valley Humane Society, and the images here are from a photo shoot she recently did. (Pictured with Seema in the bottom photo is her big sister Nisha Sadekar, founder of Play Golf Designs.)

Quoting again from her blog, Seema writes, "I am now a spokeswoman for the Humane Society in Las Vegas - please reach out and sponsor a helpless animal in your community. If you save a precious puppy or kitty, they will in turn make your day brighter. My animals are my best friends, and they've made me realize that life is full of love!"

Hyunju Yoo (Hyeonjoo Ryu): Newest Glamour Girl of the KLPGA

First, let's clear up why we've listed two names for this golfer in the headline. When she first came on the scene, she (and everyone else) spelled her name "Hyeonjoo Ryu." But recently on social media, she started spelling it "Hyunju Yoo." And we figure she knows better than anyone how to translate the Korean spelling of her name into an English spelling.

LPGA Golfers Enjoy the Bahamas Beachside and Poolside

Social media gives us a glimpse into the lives of professional golfers the likes of which we could never have gotten a mere 10 years ago. One word tells you all you need to know: "selfie." And when LPGA players visit a tournament site such as, say the Bahamas, selfies sometimes involve bikinis and other swimsuits. The LPGA Tour plays this week at the Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic. They are staying at the Atlantis Resort, which has a bevy of pools and other water features for them to enjoy; and are also right on the beach. Make that "beaches," since the resort is surrounded by sand and ocean, too. Below are a few of the swimsuit selfies LPGA golfers have shared on their social media accounts this week. First, Danielle Kang: Here are two showing Hee Young Park (left) and her sister Ju Young Park. Ju Young is an LPGA rookie in 2015.
