We'll tee off our series on the cast of Big Break Sandals Resorts with Elena Robles, a native Californian and part-time model.

Elena turned pro in 2007 and played her first tournament on the Duramed Futures Tour this year. She's had some high finishes in state tournaments (fifth at 2008 Colorado Women's Open, second at 2008 Washington State Women's Open) and has won on the California Players Tour.

She has a degree in Criminal Justice from Ferris State University, where she played collegiate golf. Elena won five tournaments as a collegian, was the conference Player of the Year in 2006, and a two-time NCAA Division II All-America selection.

Here's what the Golf Channel said about her in its news release about the Big Break Sandals Resorts cast:

Elena Robles (26, Redondo Beach, Calif.) – A fierce competitor who works numerous odd jobs to make ends meet (substitute teaching, modeling and serving as an extra in television and film), Robles has a history of having a fiery temper on the course. After finding faith and re-dedicating herself to golf in 2009, Robles believes her goal to compete on the LPGA Tour is within reach.

The next season of The Big Break premieres on June 21.

In scores, Korean golfer Jeongeun Lee's name often includes the number "6." It appears in the scores as Jeongeun Lee6, for example. Or, sometimes, as Jeongeun6 Lee.

Hyunju Yoo (Hyeonjoo Ryu): Newest Glamour Girl of the KLPGA

First, let's clear up why we've listed two names for this golfer in the headline. When she first came on the scene, she (and everyone else) spelled her name "Hyeonjoo Ryu." But recently on social media, she started spelling it "Hyunju Yoo." And we figure she knows better than anyone how to translate the Korean spelling of her name into an English spelling.
