In-Kyung Kim opened the Ginn Tribute Hosted by Annika with a 65. Alas, she had a 76 in the second round. Still, the 65 is her best round yet in 2008, and comes on the heels of several other recent good rounds. Perhaps "I.K." is on the verge of regaining her 2007 form after a slow start to this season.
Courtney Erdman was eliminated from "Big Break: Kaanapali" in the episode that aired this past Tuesday. While we wish the best for all the contestants on the show, Courtney and Tina Miller, as friends of Golf Babes, were two we were particularly pulling for. And now they are both gone, alas.
Courtney went out strong, however, making birdie on the final hole she played in the series.
Anna Rawson opened the LPGA Corning Classic with a score of 69, tying her best of the season to date. And did you know that she is blogging for Yahoo Golf?
Given that Anna is Australian, I wonder if this post can be interpreted as something of an homage to Jan Stephenson?

I support ... "kids who aspire to play college sports and professional sports! It's fun to work with kids, especially when you can see that they have that spark and drive to excel in their sport.”
2008 is a successful year because ... "I am determined to make it so!"
How Swede it is for Lotta Wahlin in Turkey today. The Swede won her first Ladies European Tour title, and she did it in style - with a 12-stroke victory at the Turkish Ladies Open. Wahlin was the only player to finish below par, and her margin of victory is the second largest in LET history.
"The four days have just been so good. I’ve been playing good golf and I had a good focus. Me and my caddie Andy Danewid have just been having so much fun and it’s fantastic. It’s the best moment in my career."
Congratulations to Kristina Tucker on her first career Futures Tour victory, which came this past week at the El Paso Golf Classic. Kristina is well-known for her appearance on "Big Break V: Hawaii." But don't overlook her golf. Her best finish on the Futures Tour in 2006 was third; her best finish last year - when she had non-exempt status on the LPGA Tour - was second. And now, she has that first she's been looking for. She also had an excellent U.S. Women's Open in 2006 after playing her way in through qualifying.
The above photo is from a Golf For Women magazine profile of Morgan Pressel that appears in its current (May/June 2008) issue. The article is headlined "Princess at Play" and includes "20 things you didn't know about Morgan Pressel." It's a good read, check it out.
Here is one of those 20 things:
18. The single woman. "There aren't any hot guys hanging around the LPGA Tour," she mock-complains. Herb fixed her up at least once, but she won't talk about it. Daniel Radcliffe, the young British actor, would be a definite consideration. The mention of his name makes her blush. She's a Harry Potter wonk: The original movie poster is on her wall.
Folks, I think it's long past time for me to reveal the true identity of the man behind Golf Babes. I am, in fact, Daniel Radcliffe. And so now, Morgan, I await your call ...
Here's a photo of Tina Miller taken during one of her shoots for Play Golf Designs.
Update: Check out Tina's interview with Golf for Women blogger The Golf Gal. Tina talks about Episode 3 (where she was in the elimination challenge against Cirbie) and Episode 4 (where she had immunity).
